Until September 2011, Mark acted as a non-executive director for a number of companies including Britain's largest privately owned toy manufacturer, Halsall Toys International Limited which can be viewed at the HTI website

In the past, Mark has written numerous business plans and acted as a business consultant. Specialising in fund raising to help grow businesses, Mark will act as a professional non executive director, mentor or straight forward business consultant. Strategic planning is particularly interesting to Mark and he enjoys helping businesses transition from small and private to very profitable and possibly public.

Previously, Mark was non-executive Chairman at Fylde Micro where he worked to develop greater sales of Fylde's market leading MPT1327 Trunking Radio system Fylde Micro website

Mark's other non-executive Chairmanships have included Premier Autogas the leading independent supplier of LPG and Autogas delivering a consistently high grade service to businesses, organisations and households to meet their heating and fuel needs.

Mark is also non-executive Chairman of Accountants, Hurst with offices in London and Manchester.

Mark recently helped Tactical Solutions UK Limited where Mark is Chairman to sell for £29m to St Ives plc, a fully listed London based business with revenues of over £400m annually.

Mark has recently been asked to become Non-Executive Chairman of Garside and Laycock Group, a leading provider of building services to organisations such as BT, Royal Mail, Greater Manchester Police and many local and health authorities, with offices in Preston, Leeds and Sheffield.
