Business Speaker and Entrepreneur Mark Mills founded
Cardpoint plc in 1999 and an offer was made for
Cardpoint plc valuing it at £170m in 2006, by which time its annual revenues had soared to £98m with profit for the year ending September 2006 of £19.8m.
Mark has held many Board of Director roles since leaving Cardpoint in December 2006, is a business speaker and non executive director with a new book about how to become a millionaire. During 2007, Mark also launched a property company
Bungalow to Rent which offers high quality accommodation to discerning tenants.
In 2008, Mark was appointed as Chairman of
Halsall International Toy Company based in the UK and Hong Kong. Halsall achieved sales to March 2009 of £60m and achieved record profit. Halsall also incorporates
Pagoda Outdoor Furniture leading the way in quality garden furniture.
Mark has been a business speaker for
Ernst and Young,
the Institute of Directors,
Manchester Business School,
the Academy of Chief Executives,
Halifax Bank of Scotland,
Cazenove and many SMEs. During Mark's tenure at Cardpoint plc, he developed Dutch and German businesses, acquired part of Halifax Bank of Scotland for £49m and was a key participant in a UK
Treasury Select Committee.
